My childhood monster is a dog that is black with yellow eyes. This dog reflects one of my greatest fears because ever since I was a child I have always been afraid of dogs chasing me. And I have had a couple of incidents where dogs did chase me and it was horrible. This dog especially shows my fear because the black color is such a contrast of yellow eyes just makes it creepy.
I have befriended this monster (dog) by learning to control my fear of dogs. I've learned that if I don't feel scared of the dog the dog won't come near me either, because I've heard that dogs can sense fear. So if I'm not feeling scared the dog will stay away from me.
